Senior Frontend Engineer - AI Platform
About The Position
Seekr is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to advance its front-end initiatives on the AI Platform. The role involves contributing high-quality code within an established technical direction and modern stack, including Next.js, and working with the Engineering Lead to refine applications so they are performant, scalable, and built to last. The engineer will work in a fast-moving, collaborative environment, partnering with ML Engineers, Back-end Engineers, and DevOps peers to rapidly iterate on features and deploy performance-tuned web applications at scale. The role contributes to product decisions and builds tools for government agencies, data center companies, and SMBs. Internally, the engineer will work closely with the QA team and Product Design team to test implementations and bring design visions into code.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5 to 7 years of experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, and HTML.
- 5 to 7 years of experience with React and deep working knowledge of its principles and paradigms, including components, hooks, Next.js, and the React lifecycle.
- Proficiency using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor to enhance productivity and code quality.
- Familiarity with JavaScript/React infrastructure, including Node and NPM.
- Experience consuming JSON APIs and creating fast web experiences at scale.
- Working knowledge of automated testing principles and practices.
- Strong collaboration skills, including working with back-end and DevOps engineers to create APIs and server deployments.
- Agile mindset and experience with Scrum, CI/CD, and Git.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Tailwind or another CSS framework.
- Experience using Atlassian tools such as JIRA or Confluence.
Responsibilities
- Contribute high-quality frontend code using Seekr’s established technical direction and modern stack, including Next.js.
- Work with the Engineering Lead to refine applications for performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
- Partner with ML Engineers, Back-end Engineers, and DevOps peers to iterate on features and deploy performance-tuned web applications at scale.
- Collaborate with QA, whose team tests the engineer’s work, and with Product Design to implement design visions in code.
- Contribute perspectives to how the team builds and evolves its applications.
