About The Position

EQUALS TRUE is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer with expertise in Angular, NX, and real-time data to join a remote-first team. This role involves building and evolving Angular (NX) applications for real-time visualization of drilling operations in the oil & gas industry. The developer will design UI components for continuous, high-frequency data streams, collaborate with backend engineers, drive frontend performance improvements, support migration from legacy systems, and contribute to architectural decisions. The project length is 8 months.

Requirements

Strong, hands-on experience with Angular (ideally within NX monorepo environments) and TypeScript in production.
Proven track record building complex, data-heavy or real-time user interfaces.
Solid grasp of frontend fundamentals, including state management, component design, and performance optimization.
Comfort working with APIs and collaborating with backend services in distributed systems.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues and navigate production environments effectively.
Clear understanding of system-level concepts such as data flow, latency, and reliability.
Strong English communication skills, with the ability to explain technical decisions and trade-offs.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to industrial, IoT, or operational environments (oil & gas is a strong plus).
Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS and early-stage containerization (Docker).
Contributions to design systems or reusable component libraries.
Background working on high-performance or real-time data visualization applications.

Responsibilities

Build and evolve Angular (NX) applications that power real-time visualization of drilling operations in an oil & gas environment.
Design UI components capable of handling continuous, high-frequency data streams from physical equipment.
Partner closely with backend engineers to deliver seamless, near real-time data experiences.
Drive improvements in frontend performance, reliability, and responsiveness for mission-critical applications.
Support the migration from legacy desktop interfaces (Windows Forms) to modern web-based platforms.
Investigate and resolve production issues affecting live operational systems.
Contribute to frontend architecture decisions and help advance the platform modernization efforts.
