About The Position

Equities Technology at Citi is undergoing a significant transformation to establish a premier global platform for execution, prime, clearing, and cross-product margining. The team is re-engineering its technology infrastructure to achieve top-tier performance and resilience, enabling advanced execution capabilities, global market connectivity, and modernized post-trade, clearing, and margin processes. The goal is to create a unified, highly automated platform that enhances client outcomes and drives growth. This role involves close collaboration with skilled engineers and business/product partners to shape and implement the future of Equities technology at Citi. A front-office quantitative development team is seeking a hands-on full-stack UI developer to contribute to a leading data and analytics platform, focusing on building and distributing analytics to the Equity Derivatives Markets business through interactive dashboards.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years experience developing web-based apps through Javascript libraries and frameworks like React or Angular.
  • 5+ years experience building React apps
  • Experience with full stack development
  • Experience using AI/agentic frameworks for software development
  • Basic knowledge of relational, no-SQL and object store databases
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a computer science, engineering, mathematical or other related discipline

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with financial concepts such as Equities / Options / Futures
  • Experience with cloud container technologies, e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes
  • Experience with Python data engineering stack (Streamlit, FastAPI, Pandas/Polars, Airflow)
  • Experience building large data-heavy, dashboard-style applications.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business (quants and traders) on multiple equity derivatives trading desks to design, develop, deploy and support new solutions
  • Collaborate on the build out of our UI platform, including no-code and low-code dashboard solutions.
  • Produce SOLID code with excellent test coverage
  • Participate in code review process with other colleagues
  • Analyze new requirements to find the most appropriate technical solution and contribute to overall application architecture and design
