About The Position

Secta Labs is seeking a Senior Front-end Engineer to join their early team. The ideal candidate deeply cares about their craft and aesthetics, enjoys technically challenging projects, and can translate product visions into usable first versions using proven design patterns and elegant solutions. This role involves collaborating with designers and PMs, coming up with growth hack ideas, and fixing issues proactively. The engineer will help shape the products customers experience and contribute to the company and engineering culture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a frontend-focused engineer
• Proficiency in React, NextJS and TypeScript
• Deep knowledge of frontend concepts related to aesthetics, design, and usability
• Attention to details
• Ability to communicate ideas to engineers, leadership, and users
• Flexible and comfortable with ambiguity of working in a rapidly changing environment
• Highly collaborative and proactively seek out feedback

Nice To Haves

• Experience with backend: used ORMs, deployed to Railway, understand caching and scaling
• Shipped a React Native app to production
• Self-taught design skills
• Built side projects
• Played with Stable Diffusion
• Used Bun

Responsibilities

• Shape the products our customers experience
• Contribute to company and engineering culture
• Work on onboarding flow for iOS application (React Native)
• Develop checkout flow on web using Stripe’s React SDK
• Implement new AI features in our Gallery
• Build a new design system (e.g. with Storybook)
• Develop the next version of our Enterprise dashboard
• Collaborate with the growth team to create innovative viral loops
