About The Position

TheGuarantors is hiring a BizOps & Strategic Finance Analyst to support the BizOps & Strategic Finance team on top priority financial and operational initiatives. This team plays a central role in planning as well as execution across financial forecasting, operational efficiency, sales operations, and organic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, while interacting with, leveraging, and influencing key stakeholders across the organization. This role will report to the team's Senior Manager and is located in NY.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, or an equivalent program.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets (building dynamic, scalable financial models) and PowerPoint (clear, structured, visually polished presentations); comfortable organizing, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets.
  • Strong critical thinking and quantitative skills, with superior attention to detail and the ability to put structure around ambiguity.
  • Ability to distill complex analyses into clear, executive-ready insights and to operate across all levels of an organization, from Analysts to C-Suite.
  • Exceptional organization and time management, with a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality and excitement to learn what you don't know in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or similar tools
  • Familiar with Claude, Gemini or similar AI tools
  • Experience in fintech, insurance, or real estate
  • Experience at a mid-stage start-up

Responsibilities

  • Use data, judgement, and business context to inform recommendations for and implementation of the Company's strategic initiatives, including target-setting, forecasting, compensation planning, and B2B pricing.
  • Conduct data-driven analyses to assess ROI across products, operations, and growth initiatives, collaborating with management on key strategic decisions and resource allocation.
  • Build and maintain operational and financial models in Excel for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning; track variance to actual performance and partner with cross-functional teams to iterate on forecasts and shape action plans.
  • Generate, maintain, and automate financial and operational reporting, including recurring packages for the COO and Departmental Leadership, while continuously improving templates and processes to drive efficiency at scale.
  • Serve as a key thought partner across functional teams (Finance, Operations, Data, GTM, Sales) by identifying, monitoring, and optimizing KPIs and leading ad hoc analyses on growth, profitability, and unit economics.
  • Enable cross-functional stakeholder alignment to maintain and optimize the systems that underlie recurring sales and customer success processes.
  • Manage assigned work independently and follow through on commitments, deadlines, and deliverables.
