About The Position

M9 Solutions is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to work onsite in support of a government contract for a client located in Taunton, MA. An active Secret clearance is required. Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Ahead of technology trends with Research & Development (R&D) experience.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with demonstrated success leading design teams for complex projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers (SWD, JTAG), and embedded testing frameworks to validate firmware functionality, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Apply principles and techniques of electrical engineering to develop, test, and implement electrical components, equipment, and systems.
  • Participate in requirements analysis, design, integration, and verification processes, as well as support technical reviews and root cause analysis.
  • Work within defined processes and collaborate with project leaders, program managers, and external customers.
  • Design and implement bare-metal firmware in C for ARM Cortex-M and other microcontroller architectures.
  • Develop drivers and low-level interfaces for peripherals including SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO, ADC, PWM, and timer modules.
  • Profile and optimize code for performance, power consumption, and memory constraints.
  • Work closely with hardware engineers, systems architects, and product teams to translate requirements into firmware solutions.
