Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, with degree.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), other computer systems.

  • Additional computer classes preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, can grasp the bigger picture, prioritization skills, project management skills, the ability to communicate with IT programmers and business users.
  • Detail oriented, accurate, analytical, work effectively individually and within a team, organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Leads or coordinates report changes and/or test of overall system enhancements.
  • May oversee development of tests matrices, procedures and documentation.
  • Proactively identifies improvement opportunities by exploiting system(s) capabilities to further meet divisional and/or department goals.
  • Create, modify and document processes.
  • Ensures requesters of information have all relevant information to make a decision by surveying, probing and documenting the needs of the requester.
  • Fully capable of extracting information from the system(s) providing credible information for reporting or decision-making.
  • Has an in depth knowledge of how information is connected and relates to all systems in order to determine accuracy of data.
  • May be responsible for formal training classes.
  • May supervise others.
  • May lead or serve as a member of divisional project teams for system conversions and enhancements and be responsible for management of accounting portion of project.
  • Works with both internal and external sources to ensure proper reporting of financial data.
  • Completes and provides a complete analysis of accounting topics relevant to the area.
  • Identifies, researches and recommends solutions to areas of concern in relation to accounting information.
  • Responsible for adherence to the company's framework of internal controls.
  • Perform oversight of nightly pricing/valuation activities, and support daily batch cycles
  • Support fund change, audit, compliance, and other tasks as assigned
