About The Position

St. Michael’s is hiring a Senior Financial Systems Accountant to support an Intelligence Community (IC) client. As the Oracle FACTS/Senior System Accountant, you will provide senior-level accounting systems expertise for FACTS General Ledger (GL), Asset Management (AM), reconciliation, posting logic, and financial reporting support. You will be in a client-facing role that will benefit from your ability to build custom queries, analyze entry events, review Entry Event Reconciliation Tool (EERT)/Preparatory Accounting Reconciliation Tool (PART) entries for posting, and evaluate sub-module-to-GL relationships. Our core value of Teamwork will be paramount to this role as you will be part of a specialized team working with accounting, financial reporting, asset management, and system stakeholders to research outages, document root causes, and recommend supportable corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) with CI Poly clearance.
  • Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 5 or more years of experience with FACTS (PeopleSoft) Federal financial programs, including FACTS General Ledger (GL) and FACTS Asset Management (AM).
  • 5 or more years of experience with Federal Financial Accounting and the United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL).

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential, along with demonstrated expertise in custom queries, entry events, Tie Point analysis, posting logic, and reconciliations.
  • Previous experience supporting Intelligence Community customers.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute custom FACTS queries to analyze transactions, account relationships, posting results, and financial data across General Ledger and Asset Management modules.
  • Analyze entry events and review EERT/PART entries for posting accuracy, completeness, proper classification, and consistency with applicable business rules and USSGL requirements.
  • Apply knowledge of sub-module-to-GL relationships to identify, research, and document reconciliation differences, unsupported balances, abnormal balances, and interface issues.
  • Support analysis of asset accounting transactions, including impacts to PP&E, IUS, leases, depreciation and amortization, CIP, and asset-related financial reporting.
  • Perform and support GLKK reconciliations, Tie Point outage analysis, Trial Balance comparisons, and root cause analysis of posting and reconciliation issues.
  • Document posting logic issues, accounting impacts, audit trail information, and recommended corrective actions for Government review and coordination with the system owner.
  • Provide technical input for system changes, testing events, process improvements, automated validation techniques, financial reporting impacts, and complex accounting issue resolution.
