Ready to make an impact in orthopedics? Let’s grow together! We are seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst who will leverage their expertise to help drive our continued growth. The ideal candidate brings experience in public accounting, SEC reporting, financial statements and analytics, and SOX controls. This role is perfect for someone who is very organized and a strong self-starter. Someone who has attention to detail, natural intellectual curiosity, a mindset of constant improvement, and problem-solving skills would be a perfect fit. This is a hybrid position based out of our Grand Rapids, Michigan location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting or auditing experience
  • High level of aptitude in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and both written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional drive, work ethic and initiative
  • Desire to learn and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Must be able to work collaboratively and operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to be independently motivated

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strongly preferred
  • Experience with a Big 4 firm is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support SEC reporting processes, including Form 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, among other filings
  • Research and document technical accounting assessments for routine and ad hoc transactions that impact financial statements
  • Maintain accounting for debt, stock compensation, and other relevant areas to support closing the books
  • Design and execute SOX controls to align with internal control requirements
  • Prepare financial statements, analytics, tie-outs, and other deliverables to support reporting requirements
  • Complete internal reporting for leadership on a monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc basis
  • Perform regular analysis of actual versus planned results
  • Work directly with internal and external auditors, providing workpapers and control documentation for assigned accounts and processes
  • Serve as a direct point of contact to answer questions and support management and other internal stakeholders cross functionally through analyzing financial information
