About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This role will be a key contributor to our external financial reporting and technical accounting functions, with direct involvement in our SEC filings and complex accounting matters. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably in public accounting (Big 4 or large regional firm) with exposure to public company audits
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Proven ability to research and interpret complex accounting standards and translate them into practical, clear guidance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
• Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all deliverables
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• A self-starter who takes initiative, identifies issues, and drives solutions without waiting to be directed
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present findings to management
• Employees must be able to communicate effectively and operate standard office equipment, including computers, phones, keyboards, and printers.
• This role requires prolonged periods of sitting, working on a computer, analyzing financial information, and reviewing detailed reports.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree a plus
• CPA license (or actively sitting for the exam) is preferred
• Prior experience in SEC reporting or technical accounting is a strong plus, but not required for the right candidate coming out of audit
• experience with Workiva (Wdesk) or similar reporting tools a plus
• Employees may occasionally be required to stand, walk, or lift office materials.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and review of periodic SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K reports, as well as proxy statements
• Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures, and supporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Manage the XBRL process for SEC submissions
• Maintain and enforce the financial reporting calendar to ensure all deadlines are met with accuracy and precision
• Liaise with external auditors, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders to support the reporting process
• Research, analyze, and document complex accounting issues and emerging ASC standards
• Prepare and maintain technical accounting memos and position papers on matters such as revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), stock-based compensation (ASC 718), and business combinations (ASC 805)
• Monitor and assess the impact of new and proposed accounting pronouncements and assist with implementation planning
• Support month-end close activities for technically complex accounting areas, including but not limited to equity compensation, leases, and revenue, through preparation of journal entries, schedules, and reconciliations in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Support internal controls documentation and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
