About The Position

The Power & Data division of Moog is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Controls Analyst to serve as the lead for maintaining internal control frameworks like SOX and identify control gaps within internal processes. You will report to the Division Controller and will have a hybrid work schedule in Blacksburg, Virginia.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree. Finance or accounting degree is preferred.
  • 5 years in general finance and audit background within related industries.
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to coordinate and guide problem solving teams to address operational issues
  • Experience with delivery and execution of deadlines, managing timelines, proactively driving schedules while working with the team to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Skills in interacting and communicating at all levels of an organization
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and effective communication with senior leadership
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and knowledge of ERP systems
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, train, and maintain standard financial control processes within an ERP environment for assigned projects
  • Coordinate testing and communicate directly with end users about plans and progress
  • Confirm inventory management controls are compliant
  • Work on cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity of financial reporting by establishing or revalidating policies, monitoring compliance, and mitigating financial risk
  • Work through problems, often complex, and will need to possess excellent analytical and project managements skills to provide guidance for solutions
  • Lead walkthroughs with internal and external audit
