About The Position

As a Warranty Senior Financial Analyst, you will support timely, data-driven decisions across warranty forecasting, accounting, audit and SOX compliance, and financial analysis. This role leverages financial systems, analytics, and process improvements to increase visibility, improve efficiency, shorten decision cycle times, and reinforce financial integrity and accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting or finance experience.
  • Experience with enterprise accounting systems, such as SAP or Oracle Hyperion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Ability to adapt to change and support evolving business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CA certification.
  • Ability to identify control gaps and streamline processes.
  • Experience researching accounting standards and external reporting requirements.
  • Experience supporting strategic initiatives or transformation efforts.
  • Experience recommending automation, analytics, or data processing solutions.
  • Experience improving the quality and speed of monthly close activities.
  • Warranty or product costing analytics experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries and reconciliations, in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Identify, assess, and resolve accounting risks, issues, and process gaps.
  • Evaluate new warranty coverages and develop related financial models.
  • Develop and analyze actuarial warranty forecasting models.
  • Support quarterly reserve adequacy studies through claims analysis.
  • Assess warranty reserve balances using appropriate actuarial techniques.
  • Support annual warranty accrual rate-setting activities.
  • Provide data, analysis, and ad hoc support to Finance, Product Development, Quality, and Engineering teams.
  • Execute internal controls, SOX compliance activities, and financial procedures.
  • Support financial reporting, including consolidated results, SEC documents, and management reporting.
  • Support audit requests and resolve open items in a timely manner.
  • Improve accounting practices, policies, processes, and controls.
  • Leverage technology to strengthen controls, improve efficiency, and enhance reporting.
  • Communicate financial results to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Support special projects and ad hoc business requests.
  • Build strong partnerships across Controllership, Finance, IT, and operations.
