About The Position

In partnership with leaders from finance, real estate, and the company executive team, the Senior Financial Analyst – Capital Budgeting & New Club Analysis is responsible for budgeting, analyzing, and providing impactful reporting related to capital investments and new club evaluation. This role supports strategic decision-making by the real estate team and senior company leadership directly via developing financial models, analyzing and reporting on capital investment performance, and delivering insights that help optimize capital allocation and drive long-term financial performance across the GoodLife Group of companies. This role produces decision-ready investment cases (pro formas / sensitivity analysis / recommendation summaries) used to understand, approve, and prioritize capital and new club investments. As a finance partner to senior stakeholders, this role translates complex data into clear recommendations.

Requirements

  • BA in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • 3-years’ relevant, progressive work experience in a financial analysis or data analysis role, including direct experience with financial modeling, investment evaluation, or capital project support
  • Strong knowledge of the entire Microsoft Office suite
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills (scenario/sensitivity analysis, structured models)
  • High Level of motivation, a positive attitude and the ability to work in a fast paced, ever- changing environment
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills; exceptional analytical skills and business acumen
  • Able to distill complex analysis into a crisp executive narrative (what matters, what changed, what to do next)
  • Demonstrated high level of proficiency in analysis of large and disparate data sets
  • Demonstrated proficiency in development of effective budgeting and financial models
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent work assignments with tight timelines

Responsibilities

  • Supports capital planning, budgeting, and performance tracking for new and existing clubs
  • Builds and maintains detailed financial models for new club evaluations and capital investment proposals
  • Analyzes returns, sensitivities and financial risks to support investment decisions
  • Frames Clear trade-offs and provides specific recommended decisions/actions
  • Creates budgets/ forecasts for assigned capital and new club portfolios using historic data, recent trending, and guidance from business leaders to provide clear targets (budgets) and insights how the business is tracking (forecasts).
  • Improves capital tracking processes and data integrity (capex inventory / deployment), enabling faster and more reliable decision support.
  • Analyzes variances, integrating Financial Statement data with operational metrics to understand the variances, then summarizes these findings and shares with the relevant business unit(s).
  • Monitors capital spending activity for adherence to budget plan and identify and research unusual variances.
  • Owns insightful recurring and ad‑hoc reporting, with an emphasis on surfacing emerging risks/opportunities early and recommending corrective actions.
