About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst provides strategic financial reporting, analytics, and business partnership support to ensure achievement of short and long-term financial objectives. This role partners closely with functional leaders across Medforth Global Education, delivering insights through budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, capital planning, and complex financial modeling. The analyst acts as a trusted advisor, translating financial data into actionable recommendations that drive operational and profitability improvements.

Requirements

  • Superior analytical and critical thinking skills; detail oriented
  • Assertive and comfortable working with people at every level of the organization to achieve results
  • Ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines
  • Strong technical skills using Excel (e.g. Pivot Tables, Sum if, Lookups, and Linking)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum 2-3 years of business experience, with a focus on financial planning & analysis

  • MBA a plus
  • Experience with Oracle PBCS (Hyperion) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepares comprehensive monthly financial reporting packages for leadership, highlighting key drivers of performance and profitability
  • Conducts detailed variance analysis versus budget and forecast, identifying risks, opportunities, and operational impacts
  • Presents financial results and insights to assigned functional leaders, delivering clear recommendations and data-driven solutions
  • Leads monthly management review meetings, partnering with stakeholders to address performance gaps and align on corrective actions
  • Collaborates closely with Accounting to resolve expense coding issues at the departmental level, ensuring data accuracy and reporting integrity
  • Owns budgeting templates for assigned functional areas, partnering with budget owners to ensure accurate and timely submissions
  • Builds rolling forecasts and supported development of the annual operating budget, incorporating business trends and assumptions
  • Delivers updated forecast scenarios to management, tracking performance against plan and highlighting variances
  • Develops scenario models to evaluate financial impact, assess risk exposure, and identify cost optimization opportunities
  • Actively partners with leadership to identify and implement strategies to maintain budget discipline
  • Manages capital expense budgets, forecasts, and project-level cost tracking
  • Performs ad hoc financial analysis to support executive decision-making across the organization
  • Designs and enhances analytical tools and dashboards to improve financial visibility and operational insights
