About The Position

Amazon's Transportation network moves billions of packages annually, and the financial decisions behind that network touch everything from how we plan capacity to how we deliver on our customer promise. We're looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who is curious about how it all works and motivated to make it work better. You'll join a highly visible team embedded within Transportation operations, working shoulder to shoulder with Operations and Technology leaders to learn how our network operates at the most granular level and translate that understanding into financial insight, partner with business leaders to build the business cases behind network investments and cost initiatives, drive programs and projects from concept through execution, measuring tangible impact on both our P&L and the customer experience, surface inefficiencies and opportunities that others miss, collaborating with cross-functional teams to turn analysis into action, and leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate analysis and elevate the quality of recommendations you bring to the table. The problems are complex, the data is massive, and the results of your work are visible in how we serve customers every day. Requirements

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
• 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
• 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
• 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
• 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
• Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

• 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• MBA, or CPA
• Knowledge of Tableau
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
