About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting Witherite Law Group's financial performance through accurate reporting, forecasting, and analysis. This position focuses on delivering actionable insights to help leadership make informed decisions. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large data sets in a fast-paced professional services environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required
Minimum 5 years of FP&A or financial analysis experience
Advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, modeling)
Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
Experience with ERP or time/billing systems
Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting principles
Ability to analyze complex data and present clear, concise insights
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams

Nice To Haves

MBA or Master’s preferred
Law firm or professional services experience preferred

Responsibilities

Assist with annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecasting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with firm objectives.
Prepare and maintain financial reports and dashboards, including revenue, expense, and profitability metrics.
Conduct variance analysis and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Support matter-level profitability analysis, including cost allocation and realization tracking.
Monitor cash flow drivers, WIP, and AR aging; provide insights to improve collections and working capital.
Develop and maintain financial models for scenario planning and ad hoc analysis.
Collaborate with Finance and Operations teams to ensure data integrity and process efficiency.
Assist in system reporting enhancements and automation using Excel and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau).
