Amazon seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst to play a key role on our AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services Operations team as we invent new metrics and operate mechanisms that will help leadership and field teams manage the large and growing AWS Sales business. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of this team and a great role for exposure into Program/Project Management.

Requirements

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
• 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
• 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
• 3+ years of finance, tax or a related analytical field experience
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

Nice To Haves

• 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• MBA, or CPA
• Knowledge of Tableau
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Responsibilities

• Build out robust forecasting analysis for Sr. AWS Leadership and Sales teams to monitor the business
• Lead the development of new metrics that bring new clarity and insights
• Drive consistency in reporting and methodology with stakeholders across a growing organization
• Develop robust and scalable reporting solutions
• Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed and present findings to senior management
