Senior Financial Analyst- East Real Estate Operations
About The Position
We're looking for a Financial Analyst to join our East Operations Finance team in Bethesda, MD. In this role, you'll help drive business performance through financial analysis, forecasting, modeling, and strategic reporting. You'll partner with leaders across the organization to transform data into actionable insights and support key business decisions. As a Senior Financial Analyst with the East Operations Finance team, you will help drive business performance through analysis of financial operations while collaborating with business partners from across the organization. A successful analyst will perform data modeling to support monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and strategic decision making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field
- At least 3+ years of experience with an extensive understanding of financial concepts, processes and systems.
- Expert proficiency in Excel.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and executive reporting processes.
- A collaborative, self-motivated approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining a strategic, big-picture perspective.
Nice To Haves
- VBA knowledge
- Experience presenting to senior leaders
- Proficiency in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), SQL, Power BI, and/or Hyperion.
- A background in real estate
Responsibilities
- Performs data modeling to support annual budgeting, monthly forecasting and strategic decision making.
- Coordinate and produce monthly senior management reporting regarding organizational performance.
- Assists with accounting and financial reporting to support quarterly earnings releases and board meetings.
- Documents policies and procedures to create process flows.
- Deliver financial reporting and analysis that informs operational and strategic decision-making.
- Partner with business leaders to identify trends, evaluate performance, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Support annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
- Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support planning, forecasting, and investment decisions.
- Prepare reporting and presentations that provide executive leadership with insights into organizational performance.
- Support quarterly earnings and financial reporting activities.
- Contribute to reporting and presentations for senior leadership, the Board of Directors, and shareholders.
