About The Position

Centurion Asset Management Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to play a pivotal role in translating business decisions into financial results for senior management and investors. This role involves delivering timely and accurate reporting and providing analytical support. Requirements

  • Customer focused, interpersonal and negotiating skills to engage departmental leads and staff;
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role dealing with senior individuals of both a financial and non-financial nature;
  • CPA (CA, CMA or CGA) designation required;
  • University degree in Business, Finance, or Commerce;
  • Extensive knowledge of the IFRS principles, consolidation methods, financial analysis;
  • Effective communication skills at all levels of the organization;
  • Excellent team player as well as the ability to work independently;
  • Positive attitude, approachable and self-motivated;

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Real Estate is an asset
  • Experience with Yardi property management systems is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Lead preparation and review monthly consolidated management financial reports and follow up on key issues identified.
  • Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements.
  • Develop and foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure proactive timely resolution of all co-worker inquiries.
  • Develop new analysis and KPI’s to enhance the understanding of company performance yielding new insights.
  • Prepare quarterly financial statements reports, analysis and presentations to senior executives, external lenders, and Board members.
  • Work with departmental leads to continuously improve operational and accounting processes for improved timeliness and accuracy.
  • Monitoring cash flow movement, completing regular cash flow forecasting and initiating the transfer of funds.
  • Mentor, coach and supervise junior staff.
  • Perform special projects and ad hoc reporting as required.
