About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who will serve in an accounting & operations capacity, owning day to day accounting operations while supporting financial analysis and reporting. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role is critical to ensuring accurate financial records, timely close processes, and strong compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA designation.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a controllership, senior accounting, or similar role.
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
  • Solid understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial close processes.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO).
  • Familiarity with SaaS business accounting (e.g., revenue recognition, deferred revenue, intangible assets).
  • Experience in a large, mature organization with knowledge of robust accounting and internal controls frameworks, revenue operations, and/or in a public accounting external audit capacity.
  • Proficiency with leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and eliminate manual processes (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Own month-end accounting close activities, including journal entries and general ledger close processes.
  • Prepare and analyze variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and forecasts.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements for internal reporting and tax purposes, and assist in preparation of quarterly board of director Finance materials.
  • Draft and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and technical accounting memos.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal controls.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales & Engineering teams to develop scalable finance processes for revenue operations, accounting automations and cost management.
  • Manage accounting operations activities including Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and ad-hoc Finance-related projects and administration.
  • Work directly with external auditors, tax accountants, and legal advisors as required.
  • Support continuous improvement of accounting processes, systems, and documentation.
