About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst will focus on both short- and long-term financial results by building and monitoring relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing financial performance, and supporting the execution of departmental strategies and initiatives. This role involves analyzing and comparing monthly and quarterly results, metrics, and key performance indicators against plan and other benchmarks. The analyst will execute departmental strategies and key initiatives through special projects as assigned, utilize data-driven insights to uncover behavioral patterns within agency operations and enhance performance across key metrics, and collaborate throughout the organization to improve overall efficiencies. Additionally, the role includes performing month-end close activities and related entries and reconciliations within established deadlines, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines throughout the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. The Senior Financial Analyst will perform detailed analysis of internal financial data, including profit and loss statements, financial reports, revenues, direct expenses, and commissions, and develop and maintain complex financial models and dashboards to support forecasting, scenario planning, and strategic initiatives. The position requires partnering with business units to provide financial guidance and support for operational and strategic decisions, evaluating external and internal intelligence to provide actionable insight into the current market landscape, and maintaining Power BI reports for accuracy, quality, and relevance.

Requirements

  • Highly organized and adept at managing time effectively in dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
  • Demonstrates initiative and curiosity, with a commitment to thorough research and problem-solving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and financial reporting systems such as Essbase, Hyperion, and Vena.
