Whole Health Solutions is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. This role will support financial planning and analysis through month end close, forecast, long-range modeling and strategic partnership to help senior leadership develop, execute, and manage the growth and profitability of the business. Whole Health Solutions is a business comprised of Optum's Behavioral solutions and its Clinical solutions that address needs across a diverse set of conditions along the continuum of care. This role will focus on the Behavioral solutions book of business. This position is full time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CST or EST time zone. We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 2+ years of finance / accounting or systems experience in post graduate or internship experience
  • Experience with working collaboratively and influencing others within a matrix organization
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling experience
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
  • Proven ability to work independently with little supervision, prioritize work and be a self-starter
  • Proven excellent written communication skills and the ability to verbally communicate ideas clearly & confidently
  • All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to forecast
  • Lead role in the annual budget, quarterly forecast, and long-range planning processes
  • Analyze financial results versus budget, forecast, and prior periods, identifying key drivers and trends
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve reporting accuracy
  • Participate in strategic planning initiatives and special projects
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support executive decision-making
  • Support implementation and optimization of financial systems and business intelligence solutions
  • Provide financial guidance and support for business initiatives, capital investments, and cost management efforts
