About The Position

Under the direction of an assigned Supervisor, the Senior Financial Analyst trains and provides technical guidance to district and CSSF accounting personnel and SCOE departmental accounting personnel. The position processes County auditor apportionments and journals and oversees fiscal evaluations for assigned districts and funds. It performs complex statistical analyses of financial data, prepares State and departmental reports describing the results, and develops and uses analytical tools and models to analyze data. The position provides management with recommendations based on sound fiscal detail.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field, and four years of increasingly responsible related accounting experience; alternatively, a combination of education, training, and experience that could provide the desired skills, knowledge, and abilities may be considered.
• At least two years of governmental fund accounting experience.
• Experience using advanced techniques in computerized spreadsheets.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• If using a combination of education and experience to meet the education and experience requirements, college-level transcripts must accompany the application.
• Selected applicant must obtain DOJ fingerprint clearance, TB test clearance, and pre-employment drug screen clearance before employment.
