About The Position

The Boeing Company's Defense Satellite Systems' team is looking for an Senior Financial Analyst (Level 4) to join our team in El Segundo, California. This Financial Analyst will be responsible for integrating the financials on a monthly and quarterly cycles. Creating customer's monthly, quarterly and annual Contract Data Requirements List (CDR's). The candidate must have the ability to communicate and present to executive leadership and help lead discussions on providing financial and potential risk, opportunities or issues recommendations. Requirements

  • Currently have a Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience in a finance related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, or Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)
  • 3+ years of experience with Earned Value Management
  • 3+ years of experience with Estimates at Complete
  • 3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

  • Experience with Deltek, COGNOS, COBRA, Earned Value Management software, and other accounting systems containing historical cost data.
  • Experience with financial planning processes and tools

Responsibilities

  • Develops, reviews, analyzes and maintains cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value, and communicates cost and/or schedule trends, and assesses range of opportunities and risks
  • Develops performance reports and integration of variance analyses and provides clear, concise understanding of operational and financial performance to senior management
  • Coordinates efforts to troubleshoot process and tool issues, resolves root cause and recommends solutions
  • Works with Program/Project leadership team to handle a program baseline and implement Earned Value Management
  • Completes the monthly Forecast analysis and supports Customer deliverables
  • Leads the development, integration and analysis of resource forecasts and Estimates at Completion (EACs) for various projects
  • Makes recommendations to senior management on financial performance projections using financial and business knowledge and experience
