About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers. This role will go to HQ 2 times a month in Coral Gables, FL.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a Related field, Required
Two (2) years to Four (4) years or more in Experience in a corporate Finance Department within a Fortune 500 Company or consulting firm, Required
Must be proficient with computers to include MS Office Intermediate, Required

Nice To Haves

Master's Degree in MBA, Preferred
5 years or more in Post MBA, Preferred

Responsibilities

Provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers.
Perform month-end closing activities, including journal entries for re-classing revenue/expenses, explaining variances versus forecast/annual plan, and general ledger research to ensure all possible billing opportunities are captured.
Work closely with the Director of Operations (DOO), Director of Sales (DOS), and Director of Rental (DOR) to identify and recommend opportunities for cost/productivity improvements.
Conduct forecasting, business planning, and branch performance analysis.
Provide financial training to Business Unit staff on policies, procedures, and financial tools.
Conduct branch audits as needed to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Act as the Business Unit liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center and Ryder's Corporate Accounting group.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Follow up with tracking/reporting/further recommendations.
