About The Position

As a Senior Financial Analyst on Gallagher’s Global Data & Analytics team, you’ll play a key role in transforming data into meaningful insights that drive strategic decisions. This role focuses on financial and operational analysis, reporting, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve performance visibility—particularly across reinsurance-related metrics and broader business trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of financial analysis experience (insurance, brokerage, or financial services preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large datasets
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI (Sigma experience a plus)
  • Familiarity with data platforms such as Snowflake
  • Experience creating data visualizations and dashboards
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-technical audiences

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Tableau or Qlik
  • Experience with SQL, PowerPivot, or other big data tools

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial and operational data from the global data warehouse to evaluate business performance, profitability, and risk/volatility
  • Build, refine, and validate key metrics, with a focus on reinsurance and performance insights
  • Develop and enhance reports and dashboards; identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities
  • Conduct variance and root-cause analysis to explain performance and provide forward-looking insights
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership
  • Perform market research and benchmarking using industry trends, economic data, and competitor insights
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders to understand priorities and proactively identify analytical opportunities
  • Collaborate with IT (onshore and offshore) to automate reporting and improve data solutions
  • Deliver accurate, timely analyses and respond to ad hoc requests as needed
  • Act as a trusted thought partner to leadership on financial and performance insights
