About The Position

Disney Entertainment (DE) is a global business segment for The Walt Disney Company responsible for the monetization of content, including distribution and ad sales, and the operations of the Company’s entertainment streaming services, domestic entertainment broadcast and cable networks, and theatrical distribution. The DE Games Finance team supports Disney Games and Digital Entertainment, partnering with business leaders across Disney Games Group, Marvel Games, Lucasfilm Games, 20th Century Games, Disney/Pixar Games, strategy, business development, product, creative, technology, accounting, and DE Segment FP&A. The team supports a high-margin licensing business with a robust slate of mobile, console, PC, as well as the strategic partnership with Epic Games to build the virtual Disney Universe. The team is responsible for financial planning, forecasting, long-range planning, title-level analysis, management reporting, and executive-ready storytelling for the games portfolio. This includes supporting the evolution of Disney’s core games licensing business and emerging strategic initiatives, while helping leadership understand performance, risks, opportunities, and investment trade-offs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of finance, accounting, strategic planning, or FP&A experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis skills.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with the ability to build clear, executive-ready analyses and presentations.
  • Experience with financial reporting/planning systems such as Cognos TM1, SAP/HANA, or similar tools
  • Ability to synthesize large data sets, identify key drivers, and communicate financial insights clearly to finance and non-finance audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workstreams, manage tight deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders and manage expectations.
  • Curiosity and interest in the games business, including title performance, licensing economics, live services, platform dynamics, and portfolio strategy.

Nice To Haves

  • media, entertainment, games, licensing, technology, or consumer products experience preferred.

  • Cognos TM1
  • experience supporting licensed IP, games, digital products, or global entertainment businesses.
  • Background working with data using SQL, Python and/or statistical packages.
  • Familiarity with Co-Pilot, Claude, ChatGPT, and/or other AI tools in a Finance workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Games P&L planning, forecasting, and long-range planning, including title-level revenue, OI, cash flow, royalties/participations, external PD/marketing, labor, overhead, and variance analysis
  • Management reporting and executive-ready analysis, including monthly/quarterly reporting, KPI tracking, deck support, and concise financial commentary for leadership
  • Consolidation support across DE Games Finance, DE Segment FP&A, accounting, regional finance, and business partners, including forecast submissions and planning tool / Cognos-TM1 support
  • Ad hoc projects, deal and slate analysis, scenario modeling, reporting automation, and FP&A process improvement
