As a Senior Financial Analyst at Veralto, you’ll join a collaborative Corporate Finance team in a highly visible role that blends global lease accounting, external financial reporting, and process improvement. This role plays an important part in centrally managing lease accounting across Veralto’s operating companies, helping ensure accuracy, consistency, and strong partnership with local finance teams around the world. You’ll serve as a key point of contact for lease accounting guidance, support work within Lucernex, and contribute to SEC reporting activities for a global public company. This is a great fit for someone who is ambitious, tech-savvy, and excited to keep learning. You’ll be supported by experienced teammates as you get up to speed and take ownership of the role. This position will be located in Waltham, MA and will be hybrid.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2-4 years of accounting, financial reporting, and/or public accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP (especially lease accounting under ASC 842) and SEC reporting requirements and its application in a corporate environment.
  • Experience supporting or auditing the SEC reporting processes, including familiarity with 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and other SEC regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or equivalent certification a plus
  • Big 4 public accounting experience a plus.
  • Lucernex, Oracle, OneStream and Workiva tool experience
  • Exposure to AI agents and tools in a financial setting

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator of the Lucernex lease accounting platform, overseeing the accuracy, completeness, and ongoing maintenance of global lease data leveraging the Lucernex software.
  • Manage and review lease accounting calculations, including lease liabilities, right-of-use (ROU) assets, lease expense, and amortization in accordance with ASC 842.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including accounting, finance, real estate, legal, and operating company teams to ensure lease-related financial information is complete and accurate.
  • Provide accounting guidance and consultation to Veralto operating companies on lease accounting transactions and the application of ASC 842.
  • Research, analyze, and provide guidance and support on complex technical accounting matters to ensure compliance with US GAAP and other applicable accounting standards.
  • Evaluate the accounting implications and disclosure requirements for significant and non-routine transactions, including revenue recognition, business combinations, divestitures, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Support the preparation and review of quarterly, annual and other required SEC filings, including but not limited to 10-Qs, 10-Ks and 8-Ks, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Assist in the drafting of footnote disclosures, MD&A, and other financial reporting requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and innovate through technology to optimize efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Participate in the implementation of system enhancements or upgrades related to lease accounting and financial reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements related to lease accounting, technical accounting, and SEC reporting.
  • Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
