About The Position

EMCOR Mechanical Services (“EMS”) has an opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst in Downers Grove, Illinois. This is primarily an in-office role to foster team connectivity, with flexibility to work from home one day per week. The Senior Financial Analyst, reporting to the Director of Accounting, is responsible for providing financial, operational, and analytical support throughout the division. The Senior Financial Analyst will work to ensure a superior understanding of business performance. This role is critical in the budgeting/forecasting process as well as monthly business review preparation. Special Project, Ad-hoc and strategic initiative related work is also a key aspect of this role. #EGS#LI-NS1

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 Years of related financial planning and analysis experience
  • Expert Level Excel Skills. Power Query and Power BI Experience preferred
  • Ability to operate in a high pace environment and multi-task
  • Experience in process improvement and understanding profit levers
  • Builds and maintains relationships with subsidiary companies and works with them to meet their expectations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and time management, as well as effective meeting management

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with OneStream reporting systems a plus

Responsibilities

  • Analyze indirect cost performance, including variance analysis, benchmarking, and trend evaluation to recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with operating companies and corporate leadership.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Analyze actual performance versus budget and forecast; identify key performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare accurate, timely financial and operational reports for business reviews and executive decision making.
  • Create and maintain KPI dashboards and operational metrics tracking tools as directed.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to finance, sales, and operations leadership to support continuous improvement.
  • Deliver training and analytical support to operating companies on budgeting, cost analysis, and financial best practices.
  • Develop automated reporting solutions using Power BI and advanced Excel modeling.
  • Support divisional CFOs with reporting, analysis, and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead or support special projects and ad hoc strategic analysis.
  • Assist as needed on acquisition projects
  • Administrative support duties such as scheduling closing calls, prepare and process IT and other cost allocations, purchasing card program, other administrative duties as required.
