About The Position

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting operational and financial performance across a major logistics operation. Working closely with operational leadership, you will provide financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic analysis that drive business decisions and improve profitability. This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys partnering with operations, solving complex business challenges, and influencing decision-making through data-driven insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in Finance or Accounting.
  • Strong experience with: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Financial Reporting, Budgeting & Forecasting, General Ledger, Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable, Billing, Inventory Management & Financial Controls
  • Strong understanding of income statements, balance sheets, and financial analysis.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Workday preferred).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, large data analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with operational leaders and influence business decisions.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting operations within a logistics, transportation, manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environment is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience with Power BI is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.
  • Analyze monthly financial results, investigate variances, and provide recommendations.
  • Prepare journal entries, support month-end close activities, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Monitor operational KPIs, profitability, startup costs, and investment initiatives.
  • Manage customer billing, revenue recognition, accounts receivable monitoring, and general ledger postings.
  • Ensure all revenue opportunities are accurately captured and billed.
  • Deliver financial training and guidance to operational leaders on financial policies, procedures, and reporting tools.
  • Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance through operational audits and financial controls.
  • Act as a key liaison between Operations, Shared Services, and Corporate Finance teams.
  • Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
