About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst role will provide financial leadership and support to the Global Finance technology investments, Project SigniFi and TransAct programs. SigniFi and Transact are multi-year programs intended to deliver global standardization, enhanced digital capabilities, and process simplification with the objective of enabling an improved and optimal employee experience and ultimately the J&J Global Finance Way. The Senior will proactively partner with leads in the Finance, IT and PMO organizations to manage all aspects of the budget and ensure the accuracy and compliance of forecasting and closing cycles, Long Range Financial Planning, and the SigniFi Business Case. The ability to challenge business assumptions and educate business partners on financial issues and concepts will be required. The candidate must demonstrate strong financial leadership by providing guidance to business partners and summarizing details in a concise manner to upper management.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required; preferably with a major in Accounting or Finance
  • A minimum 3 years of experience in Finance/Accounting is required
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis is required
  • Ability to influence and shape business decisions is required
  • Strategic agility with big picture orientation is required
  • Strong communications skills are required. (presentations, listening, written skills)
  • Strong business collaboration and interpersonal skills is required
  • Ability to motivate and empower others to achieve a desired action is required.
  • Strong leadership abilities including mastering complexity is required

Nice To Haves

  • MBA, CPA, CMA or other financial certifications preferred.
  • SAP or TM1 experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Gains alignment with global/regional leaders on strategy and financial implications; anticipates additional long-term forecasting requirements and directs analyses; collaborates with key leaders and ensures that resources are aligned with goals and priorities.
  • Establishing clear and achievable financial targets and achieving them in collaboration with business leaders.
  • Collaborates with functional leaders to influence and shape business decisions, takes prudent risks and leads changes required to enable long-term strategy
  • Ensures adequate processes are in place, documented, and tested to safeguard the assets of our entities. Ensures the organization meets company and external guidelines and policies. Ensures staff is knowledgeable about compliance changes and their implications and identifies any potential impact for the changes.
