Riverbend Community Mental Health is seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team and play a critical role in supporting the financial health, compliance, and long-term sustainability of our organization. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will serve as a key financial resource, supporting complex financial reporting, CCBHC costing report creation and maintenance, financial analysis, budgeting, and regulatory compliance. You will help ensure that Riverbend's financial practices align with the evolving requirements of a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). This position is ideal for a financial analytical professional who is naturally curious, enjoys solving complex problems, and can translate financial information into meaningful business insights. CCBHC operations bring together complex healthcare regulations, cost allocation, financial reporting, and organizational performance. As our Senior Accounting Analyst, you will help connect those pieces. Your work will help leadership understand financial trends, optimize resources, strengthen internal controls, maximize appropriate reimbursement. You won't simply be reporting what happened financially—you'll help explain why it happened, identify opportunities, and help recommend what comes next. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field or relevant professional experience will be considered.
  • Five (5) years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant professional experience may be considered.
  • Understanding of CCBHC or FQHC financial modeling requirements preferred.
  • Experience supporting Medicaid, cost reporting, or grant-funded programs preferred.
  • Nonprofit, healthcare, government, or grant experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual preparation and submission of CCBHC Cost Reports, modeling Prospective Payment System (PPS) rate impacts and unit costs to optimize reimbursement.
  • Synthesize complex data into executive dashboards, trend analyses, and variance reporting for the CFO to track KPIs and primary cost drivers.
  • Design multi-year financial models, labor/overhead distribution analyses, and ad hoc projections to guide resource allocation, workforce planning, and service decisions.
  • Analyze service-line costs, and operational expenses across CCBHC operations to drive efficiency, long-term financial sustainability, and continuous compliance with certification standards.
  • Maintain organizational adherence to GAAP, CCBHC criteria, Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), and Medicaid rules while building audit schedules and updating internal control frameworks.
  • Leverage cost-reporting analyses to recommend financial and operational system enhancements, streamline workflows, and ensure alignment with evolving cost-allocation and reporting standards.
