About The Position

The Senior Finance Analyst – Programs is responsible for financial analysis and reporting at the program level, partnering closely with Program Management, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business Development, and Product Management to ensure accurate program cost and revenue visibility, contract financial health, and data-driven decision-making across a portfolio of customer programs in a complex manufacturing environment. This role will report to the Senior Finance Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a similar field
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in program finance, FP&A, or a related analytical role
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • Hands-on and detail-oriented, with willingness to handle transactional tasks as well as strategic projects
  • Exceptional communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and ability to articulate complex financial concepts in a simple manner
  • Strong leadership skills with a collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a start-up, aerospace/defense, or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with proposal pricing, cost estimating, or government contract types
  • MBA or relevant professional certification (CPA, CFA)
  • Active Secret clearance

Responsibilities

  • Own the financial forecast for assigned customer programs, partnering with program managers and engineering leads to ensure forecasts reflect current schedules, scope, and risk, including labor, headcount allocation, capital expenditures, and development spend
  • Translate engineering and production resource requirements (Bill of Material (BOM), staffing plans, build schedules) into program financial models
  • Build and maintain program cost/revenue tracking tools to monitor contract performance, funding status, and incurred costs monthly, consolidating results into portfolio-level reporting for leadership
  • Partner with accounting to support monthly close, ensuring program cost data is accurately captured and reconciled (revenue recognition, WIP, cost accruals)
  • Track program funding, contract ceilings, and invoicing timeline schedule
  • Work directly with program managers and engineering teams to track program performance against budget, schedule, and productivity targets (e.g., variance to EAC, cost/schedule performance)
  • Support proposal and pricing efforts by providing cost inputs and financial data for cost volumes and basis-of-estimate development
  • Contribute to the development of standardized financial templates and models to improve consistency across program reporting
  • Conduct ad-hoc program financial analyses to support program decisions
  • Deliver clear, program-specific insight on revenue, cost variances, and risk to program managers and executive management
  • Present program financial results and analysis to multi-disciplinary and executive audiences
