About The Position

In this role, you will provide essential financial analysis and program control support that strengthens planning, execution, and reporting across complex programs. You will partner closely with program leadership to deliver accurate cost and schedule metrics, analyze variances, and provide insights that drive decision‑making. You will play a key role in financial planning activities, program reviews, and long‑range forecasting, ensuring the financial health and performance of assigned programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • 7–10 years of related experience.
  • Proven ability to apply Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles.
  • Knowledge of program financial controls for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
  • Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations, including Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
  • Knowledge of contract types such as firm‑fixed‑price (FFP), fixed‑price‑incentive‑fee (FPIF), cost‑plus‑fixed‑fee (CPFF), cost‑plus‑incentive‑fee (CPIF), and time and materials (T&M).
  • Knowledge of accounting concepts including revenue recognition.
  • Ability to present complex information to various levels of management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software applications, Microsoft Project, and Epicor.
  • Strong Excel, Power BI, and data modeling skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provides timely and accurate cost and schedule performance metrics using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or related processes.
  • Supports baseline development activities, including work breakdown structure (WBS) creation and charge number setup.
  • Updates program data in applicable tools such as forProject or Cobra.
  • Analyzes performance variances and supports recovery planning when needed.
  • Reports risks and opportunities related to cost, schedule, and Estimate at Complete (EAC).
  • Maintains project‑activity structures and ensures accurate charge number management.
  • Completes the EAC process, including time‑phased updates, analysis, and package preparation.
  • Develops and monitors program‑level time‑phased plans to support revenue forecasting, budgeting, and long‑range planning.
  • Prepares financial inputs, analysis, and variance narratives for Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Oversees the work of a Financial Analyst and provides backup support to assigned tasks.
