About The Position

HPE is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A. The North America FP&A team is responsible for leading North America financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis processes, including Flash, Rolling Orders Forecast, Quarter End Close, Actuals support, and Long-Term Planning (LTP). The team directly supports North America’s Sales Finance teams including the BU Finance and Segment Finance teams, Sales Leadership, and SS&P organizations to ensure accurate financial submissions, alignment of planning assumptions, and timely delivery of executive insights. The team drives data integrity across planning systems, provides strategic financial analysis, supports executive reporting, and helps leadership make informed business decisions through actionable financial and operational insights.

Requirements

  • First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) preferred.
  • Typically 6+ years of experience as a financial analyst.
  • Typically experienced in more than one finance function.
  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis, with advanced knowledge in one area.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Superior teamwork skills
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Good understanding of PnL
  • Knowledge of HPE financial data systems (e.g., EAP, BOE, Anaplan).

Responsibilities

  • Provides complex and occasionally highly complex financial analysis for a financial function or a business, typically exercising a strong understanding of the business to determine the best method for achieving objectives.
  • Consults with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope.
  • Forecasts financial results within a broad scope.
  • Leads business processes, typically leading analysts across multiple sub-functions within finance; will drive North America full P&L flash process.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and automation
  • Represents North America during cross-regional or cross- functional planning processes.
  • Provides mentoring and guidance to analysts.
  • Learns and applies AI and automation to work.
  • Deep understanding of reporting systems (Anaplan, EAP, BOE, etc.)
