About The Position

Responsible for supporting and administering the Company's capital expenditure (CapEx) program. Acts as the primary finance partner to Operations, Supply Chain, and Business Leaders on capital planning, investment analysis, project governance, and performance tracking. Provides financial insights to support investment decisions and ensures approved projects are accurately forecasted, monitored, and reflected in financial reporting.

Requirements

  • University Degree (preference to Finance, Commerce or Accounting)
  • 3-5 years’ experience in progressive Finance roles
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt; maintain focus and a high degree of accuracy while working with complex data in an environment of ever-changing deadlines, priorities and requirements
  • Be positive, energetic and comfortable in an open, dynamic and collaborative company culture

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • Experience in the wine industry, operations finance, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry is an asset
  • Experience with Hyperion, PowerBI, and JDEdwards an asset

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Operations, Viticulture, Supply Chain, IT, Estates and other business leaders to evaluate capital investment opportunities.
  • Support the development of business cases for capital projects through financial analysis, scenario modeling, and ROI assessments.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support investment decisions and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with project owners to ensure project objectives, timelines, and expected financial benefits are clearly defined.
  • Coordinate the annual and long-range CapEx planning and budgeting processes.
  • Maintain CapEx forecasts and monitor project spending against approved budgets, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Support the review and approval process for capital investment requests, ensuring alignment with business priorities and governance requirements.
  • Track project milestones, spend, and expected benefits to ensure investments deliver anticipated returns.
  • Partner with project teams to identify cost optimization opportunities and mitigate financial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and governance requirements related to capital expenditures.
  • Analyze capital investment proposals and provide data-driven insights on risk, return, and strategic alignment.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual CapEx reporting, including variance analysis and executive-level summaries.
  • Coordinate with FP&A and Accounting teams to ensure capital investments and associated operating impacts are accurately reflected in forecasts, budgets, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain CapEx processes, documentation, and reporting tools to support consistency, transparency, and business continuity.
  • Share knowledge and best practices related to capital planning, investment analysis, and financial governance across the organization.
  • Foster strong cross-functional partnerships and a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
