About The Position

At Coast Capital Savings, this role is called a Relationship Manager. The Relationship Manager acts as a Coast Capital ambassador in branches, focusing on member needs from day-to-day banking to identifying lending/credit and investment opportunities. The role involves championing Coast Capital’s values and purpose to acquire new members and deepen relationships with existing ones by providing trusted advice. This position is ideal for an experienced financial advisor who excels at building long-term member relationships, identifying complex financial needs, and delivering tailored lending and investment solutions. The Relationship Manager will utilize strong financial acumen and a consultative approach to help members achieve their financial goals and grow a portfolio of meaningful relationships. The successful candidate will initially be trained at the Metrotown branch but may be permanently assigned to any branch within the Vancouver, North Vancouver, Burnaby, and Richmond areas.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience helping customers in either a bank or a credit union.
  • Must hold a CFSA designation or be willing to obtain it within 18 months of their start date. Alternatively, recognized accreditations such as PFP, CFP, or QAFP may satisfy this requirement.
  • Post-secondary education in finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Investment Funds in Canada is a requirement.
  • Solid understanding of day-to-day banking, complex investment, and lending products.
  • Sales experience with the ability to spot sales and referral opportunities.
  • Ability to build relationships with a wide variety of people and assist them with simple financial needs.
  • Multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and organize tasks, coupled with high attention to detail.

  • Get to know members on a deeper level by asking the right questions to deliver a positive and unexpected customer experience.
  • Use banking expertise to match customer needs with core banking, lending, and investment options.
  • Collaborate with other branch teams to uncover and refer general insurance, complex investment needs, personal insurance, and small business needs.
  • Engage customers in the “Where You’re at Money Chat” and maximize opportunities to help customers manage, save, grow, and protect their financial well-being.
  • Help Coast change the way Canadians feel about banking, forever.
