About The Position

As the strategic owner of the Pigment platform and corporate reporting infrastructure, the Sr Finance Manager, Systems & Corporate Reporting is responsible for ensuring data integrity, platform governance, and the delivery of accurate, timely financial reporting across 8x8. The Sr Finance Manager, Systems & Corporate Reporting reports to the VP of Finance and partners with CFO sub-functions (FP&A, Deal Desk, Finance Operations, Procurement, Audit & Compliance), and business leaders across the organization. Success is measured not by volume of data feeds processed, but by the accuracy of reported results, the quality of data infrastructure that enables business partners to self-serve, and the speed with which the platform adapts to evolving business requirements.

  • Experience consolidating financial data from multiple source systems; strong foundation in financial reporting, balance sheet structure, and consolidation mechanics in a platform environment.
  • Advanced Pigment expertise; demonstrated ability to design data models, write formulas, configure access rights, and troubleshoot performance issues; comfortable building applications from scratch
  • Familiarity with ETL concepts and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable presenting financial results and data insights to C-suite leaders and technical stakeholders alike
  • Experience managing system implementations, vendor relationships, and cross-functional projects in a SaaS or technology environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Own the architecture, performance, security, and day-to-day operation of the Pigment instance; serve as the primary escalation point for platform issues, access governance, and data integrity concerns across Finance & Accounting, FP&A, and business leaders
  • Design and maintain the data model (Applications, dimensions, metrics, access rights) to support both real-time operational reporting and statutory consolidation workflows; balance agility with stability - adding new reporting dimensions without destabilizing core processes
  • Define and enforce data governance standards; establish SLAs for data freshness, reconciliation processes, and source-system validation to ensure reported numbers are auditable and defensible
  • Build and maintain automated data flows from NetSuite, Snowflake, and other source systems; implement error detection and alerting to catch data quality issues before they reach financial reports
  • Manage user access, roles, and permissions; implement and audit access rights to protect sensitive financial data (headcount costs, deal margins, segment profitability) while enabling the right visibility at each organizational level
  • Lead the production of monthly consolidated financial statements in Pigment; coordinate across all CFO-subfunctions to ensure all components flow into Pigment on schedule with no reconciling items
  • Consolidate forecasts across all product lines and functions; validate reconciliation of forecast-to-actuals without outstanding variances; articulate variances and drivers to CFO and VP, Finance with supporting analysis
  • Design and maintain executive dashboards and variance reporting that link actual performance to budget and forecast; communicate explanations for key variances and trends to CFO and VP, Finance on a global consolidated basis
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts, covenant monitoring, and scenario analysis to support the CFO, corporate development, and strategic planning initiatives
  • Prepare quarterly and annual board deck materials for the CFO; extract key financial metrics, consolidated results, and forecast vs. actual performance analysis from Pigment
  • Lead month-end reconciliation efforts between Pigment, NetSuite, and sub-ledgers; troubleshoot variances and document resolution; maintain a clean reconciliation log and audit trail
  • Act as a trusted advisor to CFO and VP of Finance, understand their reporting needs, evolving needs of the business leaders, and translate them into Pigment requirements; surface opportunities to improve reporting speed or depth
  • Run regular office hours and community sessions to train users on Pigment capabilities; document how to navigate views, export data, and troubleshoot common issues; maintain a living FAQ and escalation procedure
  • Champion automation and self-service analytics; reduce manual reporting effort by designing views, dashboards, and data exports that allow business partners to answer their own questions
  • Proactively identify reporting gaps and propose solutions; when business partners ask 'Can you measure X?', respond with a proposal that outlines data requirements, implementation timeline, and ongoing SLA
  • Follow through on commitments and deliver on time; when priorities shift, adapt quickly without losing the thread
