About The Position

The Senior Finance Manager, Indirect Procurement serves as the voice of Finance and a key partner to Indirect Procurement leadership (i.e., marketing, corporate services, technology, etc.). This role supports decision-making through monthly rituals & routines (including analysis and reporting), quarterly/annual reviews, strategic planning, and year-long productivity efforts. In addition, this role owns working capital initiatives focused on improving payables performance, partnering cross-functionally to optimize payment terms, compliance, and cash impact across indirect spend categories.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering, Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
  • Strong business acumen, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills

  • Motivated self-starter who can effectively work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly actuals and forecast reporting across all Indirect Procurement categories
  • Support category leads with translating financial results to Procurement leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Partner with Indirect Procurement to identify, evaluate, and support savings and productivity initiatives (cost reduction, supplier mix optimization, value-add initiatives, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Global Procurement Finance on monthly reporting and ad hoc projects
  • Review and advice on deal economics on agreements being negotiated by Procurement, and communicate with Controllership to ensure proper accounting & accruals.
  • On larger deals, support Procurement team with presenting to Global CFO and CPO for approvals in MAC reviews
  • Planning (AOP): communicate planning calendar with stakeholders, and support team with establishing savings targets and project pipeline based on cross-functional stakeholders’ priorities
  • Build finance capabilities within Procurement by partnership with technology, establishing routines/controls, and streamlining operations
  • Own and lead working capital initiatives tied to payables (AP) performance, including strategy, governance, targets, and reporting
  • Support Procurement with payment terms improvements during negotiations by performing analysis on terms vs. pricing trade-offs
  • Partner with Procurement, Accounts Payable, Treasury, and others to find opportunities to improve working capital
  • Ensure proper controls in place to avoid working capital deterioration (i.e., monitoring early payments, systems-to-contract alignment on terms, etc.)
