We are seeking a driven and curious Senior Manager to join our finance team. Reporting to the VP Finance, the Senior Manager, Finance Business Partner is positioned as the key financial thought partner and go-to finance lead to a subset of operating divisions within the Lifemark portfolio. This role is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, forecasting, planning, analysis, while also providing key insights and recommendations to executives. A key part of the role will be acting as a liaison between different areas, strengthening relationships, enhancing financial insights with data-driven recommendations, building financial frameworks / processes to mitigate risks and delivering thought leadership to innovate and enhance our processes with automation and AI.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in an FP&A, business partner or accounting role
  • CPA designation is preferred or equivalent credentials
  • Solid understanding of business drivers, market trends, and risk management
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques
  • Sage 300 and/or Vena is an asset as well as advanced excel/PowerBI knowledge
  • Good knowledge and experience leveraging GenAI tools to produce insights and leverage efficiencies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate and present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong sense of ownership to meet commitments and deadlines.
  • Curious mindset to ask thought-provoking questions to business partners

Responsibilities

  • Support VP/SVPs of portfolios by understanding the unit economics of the business in order to translate financial data to business language, advise on optimal ways of reporting and forecasting results, pressure-testing business assumptions, quantifying risks and opportunities and performing adhoc analysis or business case models for initiatives or executive asks
  • Participate in the month end close process and maintain the integrity of financial reports for various finance and executive packages while owning the financial narrative and drivers of performance
  • Understand the data structure of the business in order to manage revenue, margin and SG&A analysis by division, contract, geographic area, or cost centre.
  • Manage the preparation of monthly forecasts and the annual plan with supporting schedules for internal management and parent-company stakeholders.
  • Act as the main-go to for operating divisions by fielding a full range of finance questions while collaborating with other finance and head office support functions to obtain answers and solutions
  • Drive process discipline, standardization, and continuous improvement in the the finance support function for the operating segment. Continuously evaluate and optimize financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Identify and implement opportunities for standardization, centralization, automation and technological advancements, including AI-driven solutions.
