About The Position

The Senior Finance Manager & Assistant Treasurer reports to the Head of Finance, Commercial Midstream & Treasurer and will play a pivotal role in driving the financial performance of the organization by managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, a deep understanding of the energy sector, and the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data to support decision-making. This role requires a proactive leader who can collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimize financial processes, and contribute to the organization’s long-term growth strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
  • 7+ years progressive finance experience with 5+ years in exploration & production, preferably with corporate industry experience.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, ERP systems and advanced Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the company’s annual financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Manage the organization’s reserve-based loan and commodity hedging programs to optimize financial stability and mitigate risk.
  • Build and maintain robust financial models to evaluate potential acquisitions and support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for day-to-day operations and capital development initiatives.
  • Oversee the renewal and compliance of the company’s insurance policies and surety bond programs.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, including growth opportunities, capital investments, and operational efficiencies.
