About The Position

Nscale is seeking a Senior Finance Manager, AI Infrastructure to partner with AI Infrastructure leadership in scaling the financial backbone of our global AI compute platform. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will lead financial planning, cost governance, and performance analysis across site deployment and operations. You will partner with infrastructure, engineering, operations, and accounting teams to build robust forecasting processes and translate operational and technical inputs into actionable financial insights. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on site-level P&L management, capital investment tracking, fixed asset lifecycle management, deployment ROI, and long-term asset utilization as Nscale continues to scale its AI infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or infrastructure finance, ideally in high-growth or operationally complex environments.
  • Proven experience leading annual planning and quarterly forecasting and owning financial outcomes across an infrastructure, operations, or cost-center P&L.
  • Advanced financial modeling expertise across scenario analysis, sensitivity modeling, and long-range planning, with the ability to guide and review others’ work.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain cost drivers, including procurement, freight, warehousing, inventory, and working capital.
  • Experience with capital allocation, fixed assets, unit economics, cost-to-serve modeling, or large-scale operational investments.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders across operations, procurement, logistics, engineering, or related functions.
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior team members and elevating team output and rigor.
  • Strong ability to synthesize large, ambiguous datasets into clear insights and executive-level recommendations.
  • High proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with experience using SQL and visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
  • A strategic, action-oriented communicator who operates effectively in ambiguity and brings ownership, accuracy, and urgency to complex work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting across site deployment and operations.
  • Own site-level financial statements, including P&L tracking and performance analysis.
  • Build financial models for site performance, capacity utilization, and operating cost trends.
  • Analyze variances across operating expenses, deployment costs, and asset-related spend, highlighting key drivers and risks.
  • Report on SLA performance, utilization metrics, time to deployment, and return on deployed assets.
  • Develop and maintain bill of materials costing for site deployments, ensuring accuracy and cost visibility.
  • Refine site-level unit economics across deployment costs, capacity costs, and ongoing operating expenses.
  • Identify cost-efficiency opportunities across deployments, asset utilization, and maintenance activities.
  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to understand cost drivers and performance trends.
  • Support margin improvement and cost optimization initiatives through data-driven insights.
  • Build financial models and business cases for site deployments, expansions, and capital investments.
  • Own deployment budgets, tracking actuals against plan and highlighting risks and variances.
  • Evaluate trade-offs across deployment strategies, capacity allocation, and prioritization.
  • Track performance against investment assumptions and provide visibility into ROI and payback.
  • Support the capitalization, tracking, and lifecycle management of site-level assets.
  • Partner with accounting to ensure accurate asset classification, depreciation, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor asset utilization and performance to inform redeployment, optimization, and investment decisions.
  • Track capital spend against budget and forecast future capital requirements.
  • Partner with infrastructure, engineering, site operations, and accounting teams to support financial decision-making.
  • Translate technical and operational data into clear, actionable financial insights.
  • Establish and maintain cost tracking, asset controls, and governance processes.
  • Ensure accurate, transparent, and consistent financial and operational data across systems and reporting.
