About The Position

Supporting site controllership in all aspects of operational finance for the company's site in Middleton, WI, the Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for cross-functional support through monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting. This individual supports monthly close activities, margin and variance analysis, and drives process improvement. The position will lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles for assigned functions, providing insights into financial performance, risks, and opportunities. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to capably perform each of the following essential duties: Business Impact: Supports site performance through monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, margin analysis, and standard reporting. Contributes to monthly reporting cycles, annual planning processes, and ad-hoc requests. Self-starter who can take a project from start to completion. Innovation & Change: Applies independent judgment to analyze financial results, identify trends, and recommend solutions. Continuously seeks opportunities to improve reporting, processes, and business performance. Type of Work: Performs a blend of tactical and strategic responsibilities, including financial reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and business decision support. Key Stakeholders: Partners with Finance, Site Leadership, Operations, Supply Chain, and other Support Functions across multiple locations. Interacts with auditors and other business partners as needed. Communications: Prepares and presents financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses. Communicates financial results and recommendations to business leaders. Keeps leadership apprised of key risks and opportunities. Comfortable communicating and developing trust across multiple locations. Continuous Improvement: Identifies and implements opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting efficiency, data accuracy, and operational performance. Other Duties As Assigned: Perform other duties as required, or assigned by management, to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience with business partnering and using analytics to drive business decisions in a formal financial capacity
  • Proven experience operating in a financial role within a manufacturing organization
  • Prior experience working with an ERP system, particularly data entry, reporting, and analysis of trends
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrated communication skills, with the ability to communicate in various formats to external partners and all levels of an organization
  • Current U.S. work authorization

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working with inventory, absorption rates, and other operational considerations
  • IFS experience
  • Prior experience with Tableau or equivalent software
  • Familiarity with payroll processes
  • Experience collaborating with shared services center
