About The Position

The TD Insurance Contact Center (TDI GIAC) Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for delivering financial analysis, strategic advice, and leadership support to the TDI GIAC team. This role includes owning TDI GIAC monthly and quarterly financial results reporting and analysis, managing TDI GIAC planning and forecasting cycles, and providing ad-hoc financial support as needed. Additionally, the Senior Financial Analyst assists NACO, CPB Finance, and TDI Finance teams, ensuring comprehensive financial oversight and collaboration across functions. The successful candidate is a self-starter who offers working solutions to business partners/peers/management with a focus on continuous process improvement, effectively supporting the needs of our business partners, and team building.

Requirements

  • Prior relevant experience in Management Reporting / Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Ability to manage deadlines, multiple tasks, be flexible and adapt well to changing priorities and ad-hoc requests in an environment with tight deadlines
  • Highly motivated / enthusiastic individual, who can ‘get things done’ in an organized and customer focused manner under pressure
  • Highly customer-focused with a desire to identify and satisfy customer requirements
  • Strong business acumen and organizational awareness
  • Ability to work independently – project confidence and be able to perform deliverables with minimal oversight to determine where value can best be added

  • Exhibit a high degree of professionalism and a passion for the business that delivers results.
  • Good knowledge of TD Finance systems (e.g. Hyperion EMRS/OBI) and solid understanding of accounting and management reporting principles
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications (particularly Excel and PowerPoint); knowledge of Tableau, Power BI or Alteryx is an asset
  • Strong financial acumen with exceptional analytical skills – ability to quickly absorb information on a variety of complex issues (financial and non-financial), provide insights on key issues and prepare presentations
  • Undergraduate degree in business, or related field

  • Financial designation (such as CPA, CFA) or MBA is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive financial results reporting and analysis for monthly and quarterly results packages, as well as for planning and forecasting cycles.
  • Lead planning and forecasting activities in support of TDI GIAC teams, including the development and implementation of new financial models, methodologies, and frameworks as required.
  • Support business case and scenario analysis to understand the impact of productivity enhancements on key cost drivers.
  • Deliver decision-making support for business initiatives, ensuring all financial and accounting considerations are addressed and engaging stakeholders as necessary.
  • Conduct financial and strategic analysis for senior executive and management teams by consolidating data from various financial sources and transforming it into actionable recommendations.
  • Provide thought leadership and drive a continuous process improvement mindset.
  • Perform regular and ad hoc analysis of financial results and other relevant data to generate insights, develop strategic options, and support recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with partners across Finance and other businesses in TD Insurance to draw upon organizational resources to deliver results.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, while demonstrating a holistic viewpoint, on key components of the TD Insurance Contact Center (TDI GIAC) P&L.
  • Offer leadership, expertise, and guidance to TDI GIAC leadership on a wide range of financial topics, providing recommendations to enhance the business’s economic value.
  • Provide leadership and support to the CPB and TDI Finance teams, fostering a positive and rewarding work environment.
