About The Position

The Meadows Center for Preventing Educational Risk is seeking a dynamic and team-oriented individual to provide support to multiple projects, including Tiered Interventions Using Evidence-Based Research (TIER), Intervention Academies, SPED Leadership Impact Series, and Texas Reading Academies. This candidate may also support additional projects, as determined by the direct supervisor.

Requirements

  • Proven educational leadership skills and an eagerness to collaborate with a varied group of support providers and LEAs across the state of Texas and beyond.
  • A commitment to partnership, continuous learning, and the implementation of research-based best practices in education.
  • A Master's Degree.
  • 6-7 years of classroom teaching experience.
  • At least 5 years working with local education agencies (LEA).
  • 5 years experience facilitating high-quality professional learning for various stakeholders (i.e., teachers, campus leadership, district leadership); including coaching and technical assistance).
  • A firm understanding of research-based literacy and math instruction for elementary and/or secondary students.
  • A willingness to become certified as a Leadership and Instructional Foundations for Texas (LIFT) support provider.
  • A willingness to become certified as a cohort leader for the Texas Reading Academies.
  • Deep understanding of multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS), including both planning and implementation.
  • Experience supporting emergent bilinguals.
  • Experience using collaborative technological tools such as Canvas, Teams, and Zoom.
  • Ability to multitask on several initiatives both independently and with colleagues.
  • Strong facilitation skills, including the ability to effectively plan, prepare, and deliver professional learning for adult audiences.
  • Demonstrated fluency in Spanish across all domains, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for meeting all expectations outlined in the TIER project’s Required Activity Document, including: advising and supporting Education Service Center representatives, TIER initiative members, and Local Education Agencies with training and coaching implementation needs.
  • Analyzing project data to create, implement, and monitor plans that increase participant learning of MTSS/TIER content.
  • Collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure aligned and effective project implementation
  • Conducting face-to-face or virtual professional development using TIER content to build capacity and support high-quality MTSS implementation.
  • Provide support across facilitation, content development, and implementation planning for the Intervention Academies, with a focus on translating research-based practices into actionable strategies for campus leaders and educators.
  • Support Texas Reading Academies by co-planning and attending monthly PLCs, supporting local bilingual cohort leaders, and working with the project director to collect, review, and store relevant data.
  • Support SPED Leadership Impact Series.
  • Attend all meetings and trainings, across all projects, as required and maintain accurate documentation of work.
  • Other duties as assigned.
