As a Senior Field Service Transformer Technician, you will be at the forefront of transformer maintenance and repair, working both independently and as part of a team to ensure the optimal performance of high-voltage substations. Your responsibilities will include: Installing and servicing SDMyers' proprietary equipment: InsulMax®, DryMax®, and SampleSafe® Performing transformer vacuum filling and oil sampling Conducting electrical testing and diagnostics Executing field repairs on energized and de-energized transformers Maintaining accurate site records and documentation Providing exceptional customer service and representing SDMyers with professionalism Ensuring vehicle and equipment meet SDMyers' standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in transformer field service or related maintenance roles
- Class A CDL with a clean driving record
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices, including Lock-Out-Tag-Out and confined space protocols
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
