THE ROLE: The Field Service Technician Level 2 will be responsible for start-up and commissioning of projects, preventative maintenance, and basic submersible wastewater pump (Flygt) and control panel troubleshooting at customer sites. Product specific training will be provided. Will interact with customers. Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • 2 to 5 years of technical work experience
  • Electrically and mechanically inclined
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting ability
  • Comprehend technical information and communicate it clearly
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, repair, and conduct hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumps
  • Troubleshooting of electrical control panels
  • General understanding of schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Perform start-ups and train customers on the equipment
  • Preventative maintenance and emergency callouts
  • Operating and maintaining a service truck with crane and out-riggers
  • Operating industrial equipment in a shop environment such as forklift, overhead cranes, etc.
  • Working with various Company provided hand and power tools
  • Accurate record keeping inside Xylem’s work order management system
  • Create and maintain a safe and organized working environment and culture within the organization and following protocols at customer locations
  • Take care of company property
  • Demonstrates High Impact culture through innovation, accountability and empowerment
  • Must be able to function in a team environment
  • Work independently
