About The Position

The Senior Director Field Sales, North America is a strategic and people-first leader responsible for driving retail sales performance, brand execution, and field team excellence across Sephora North America. This role oversees all in-store field activity, ensuring flawless execution of brand strategy, elevated client experiences, and consistent achievement of sales, productivity, and distribution goals. This leader partners closely with Sephora, internal cross-functional teams, and third-party partners to scale the brand, elevate retail presence, and maximize growth across doors.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive field sales leadership experience within prestige skincare or beauty.
  • Deep, proven experience managing Sephora field teams and retail environments.
  • Strong people leadership skills with a track record of building and scaling high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, influence, and relationship-building skills.
  • Passion for skincare, education, and elevated client experience.
  • Ability to travel extensively (50–70%).

Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing field organization of Account Executives.
  • Set clear performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability across all Sephora doors.
  • Drive consistent achievement of sales, productivity, and conversion goals across regions.
  • Implement best-in-class coaching, training, and development programs to build talent and bench strength.
  • Serve as a key field partner to Sephora store leadership and regional teams.
  • Ensure brand standards are flawlessly executed across all doors, including visual merchandising, education, service model, and brand storytelling.
  • Support new store openings, expansions, and special initiatives in partnership with Sephora.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, representing the company with professionalism and credibility in all retail environments.
  • Translate company and Sephora strategies into actionable field plans that drive measurable results.
  • Partner with Sales Planning, Merchandining, and Marketing to execute launches, promotions, and key retail moments.
  • Provide insights from the field to inform forecasting, assortment optimization, staffing models, and future growth strategies.
  • Analyze performance data to identify opportunities, risks, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure a best-in-class education and service experience aligned with Sephora standards and brand values.
  • Partner with Director of Education to develop and execute training strategies for skincare knowledge, regimen selling, and hero product storytelling.
  • Champion a client-first mindset that elevates brand loyalty and conversion.
  • Own field budgets, headcount planning, and third-party agency relationships.
  • Optimize coverage models, visit cadence, and labor investment to maximize ROI.
  • Ensure compliance with Sephora policies, brand guidelines, and operational standards.
