About The Position

EnviroServe, a Clean Harbors company, is seeking a Senior Field Project Manager to join their safety-conscious team. This role involves safely executing large technical remediation, environmental construction, and transportation and disposal projects nationally and internationally. The position collaborates with a diverse customer base across regulatory, government, and military sectors, and works with industry professionals across various company departments to leverage a turn-key approach to projects and customer service.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of industrial cleaning, maintenance, environmental services, or heavy industrial experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in an industrial environment.
  • Experience supporting paper mills, manufacturing facilities, refineries, power plants, or similar industrial operations.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to meet company insurance requirements.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, alcohol testing, and background screening.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and industrial work practices.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and communicate work instructions, permits, and safety documentation.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel on short notice to support emergency response events nationally.
  • Adherence to Clean Harbors' policies/procedures and maintenance of current OSHA 40, RCRA, DOT, and other training.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record satisfactory to Clean Harbors and be approved to operate light-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing daily industrial cleaning, maintenance support, and outage/shutdown activities at assigned paper mill sites.
  • Providing direct supervision, leadership, safety oversight, and coordination of field personnel.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact between the customer and operations team.
  • Providing daily supervision, direction, and support to Field Technicians and other site personnel.
  • Coordinating and assigning work activities to ensure labor, equipment, and resources are utilized efficiently.
  • Monitoring employee performance, productivity, attendance, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Conducting daily safety meetings and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
  • Training, mentoring, and developing field personnel in safe work practices, equipment operation, and customer expectations.
  • Promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring employees comply with all site requirements.
  • Leading industrial cleaning projects at paper mill facilities, including planned maintenance, outages, shutdowns, emergency response activities, and routine cleaning operations.
  • Coordinating project schedules, manpower requirements, equipment needs, and customer requests.
  • Ensuring work is completed according to project scope, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Overseeing high-pressure water blasting, vacuum truck operations, hydro-excavation, confined space entry, tank cleaning, and related industrial services.
  • Monitoring job progress and communicating updates to Operations Manager, and customer representatives.
  • Troubleshooting operational issues and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, site-specific safety programs, environmental regulations, and company policies.
  • Verifying all permits, JHAs, confined space entry documentation, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures are completed before work begins.
  • Conducting regular site audits, inspections, and safety observations.
  • Investigating incidents, near misses, property damage, and safety concerns and assisting with corrective actions.
  • Ensuring all employees maintain required certifications, training, and PPE compliance.
  • Coordinating the mobilization, operation, maintenance, and demobilization of cleaning equipment.
  • Conducting routine inspections of trucks, trailers, pumps, hoses, vacuum systems, water blasting equipment, and support equipment.
  • Ensuring defects are identified, reported, and corrected in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring inventory levels for supplies, consumables, PPE, and equipment.
  • Serving as the primary onsite contact for customers and facility personnel.
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with mill management, maintenance teams, and contractors.
  • Communicating project status, safety concerns, schedule changes, and operational challenges effectively.
  • Addressing customer concerns professionally and resolving issues promptly.
  • Assisting with emergency response services as required.
  • Supporting recruiting, onboarding, and training efforts for site personnel.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
