About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Senior Field Engineer to support SAIC’s Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) Team in Fort Bliss, Texas. This position requires 50% travel. The team is responsible for delivering high-level technical support, system integration, and field service engineering for the IBCS Program. The role involves collaborating with military and civilian personnel to ensure seamless deployment, operation, and maintenance of the IBCS system. The Senior Field Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support services for maintaining and sustaining fielded IBCS systems, equipment, and software at all identified locations, representing the IBCS program as the primary point of contact, integrating and maintaining systems running Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and integrating COTS/GOTS products with IBCS systems. The role also includes assisting in the emplacement and initialization of the IBCS system, advising customers on system capabilities and limitations, troubleshooting IBCS hardware, software, and networks, providing feedback to program leadership on system performance and end-user feedback, performing operator and maintainer tasks on equipment, integrated systems, subsystems, and software, conducting training, supporting the Program Help Desk, and conducting scheduled equipment inventories.

Requirements
